Our Vision
Vision Statement: Inspiring Indigenous Missions and Putting a Smile in the Missions Community.
Indigenous missions work in Ghana and Africa as a whole is still emerging and as much as there are several opportunities of service the young resilient missions’ enterprise in Africa as a whole is also fraught with several challenges including insufficient family support lack of basic logistics and several others which results in higher percentage attrition. Yet many passionate and young and missionaries in response to the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ have denied themselves of all the privileges and comfort of city life to go to unreached, restricted and even prohibited countries and remotest villages in Africa with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Gospel is making inroads in hitherto unreached areas in Ghana and Africa as a whole and many lives and communities are being transformed and Christ is glorified but most indigenous missionaries and their families are saddled with lack of adequate financial and logistical support. These frontline soldiers are also constantly faced with demonic encounters which call for much prayer and motivation from the larger Christian Community.
Many missionary families risk breaking up, most missionary children are deprived of good education; some missionaries have lost wives and children and many others their own lives. It is pathetic to see many of the missionary children become disillusioned and abandons the faith. It is against this background that Missions Purse was established as a service agency to advocate and mobilize support to help meet some of the basic needs for these deprived missionaries in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
Mission Statement

“Do you not say, It is yet four months and the harvest comes? Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes and behold the fields, for they are already white to harvest. And the one reaping receives reward and gathers fruit to everlasting life, so that both the one sowing and the one reaping may rejoice together. (John 4:35-36)

Our Work

Missions Purse has been born out of several years of experience, passion and love for reaching out to our less privileged brethren in deprived communities in Ghana with the Gospel and love of Jesus Christ. For over three decades the founder of Missions Purse, Rev. Albert Takyi has been involved in church planting in remote communities throughout the length and breadth of Ghana. He has been also involved in the training and nurturing of Christian leaders. He has mentored several Christian Ministers who are serving in several denominations. Has a coordinated activity of Ghana Evangelical Missions Association (GEMA) a national network of missionary organizations in Ghana for almost a decade. Missions Purse is run by reputable men and women passionate for spreading the love of God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The ripe fields of unreached peoples and communities, the opportunities of service and the command of the master as stated in the gospel of John compels and spurs us on to help fulfill our Lord’s mandate.
